Terms of Service
1. The service
Heylane is an inbox for businesses. It brings Gmail, Instagram and Facebook Messenger together, drafts replies with AI and shows customer data from connected services such as Shopify. Heylane is operated by Elie Roth (Rothwork), see the legal notice. It is currently offered by invitation, to businesses only, not to consumers.
2. Your account and data
Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You connect only accounts you own or are authorized to manage. You keep all rights to your messages and your customers' data; we process them only to provide Heylane, as described in the privacy policy. For your customers' data you are responsible for having a legal basis to process it with Heylane. You can disconnect accounts or ask us to delete your data at any time, see Data deletion.
3. AI drafts
Drafts are suggestions written by an AI model and can be wrong or incomplete. Heylane never sends anything on its own: you review each draft and are responsible for what you send.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use Heylane to access data you are not authorized to access, to send spam or unlawful messages, to attempt to breach its security, or to resell access without our written consent. Your use must also follow the terms of the services you connect, such as Google, Meta and Shopify.
5. Connected services
Heylane depends on services run by others, such as Google, Meta, Shopify and Anthropic. Their own terms and limits apply (for example, Meta only allows replies within a set time after a person's last message), and we are not responsible for their availability or their changes.
6. Availability and changes
The service is provided as it is, without guaranteed availability. We may change or discontinue features. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential obligations, limited to the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of service.
7. Ending
You can stop using Heylane at any time and ask us to delete your account. We can end your access with reasonable notice, or at once if you breach these terms.
8. Changes to these terms
We will tell you about important changes in advance. If you keep using Heylane after they take effect, the new terms apply.
9. Law
German law applies. For merchants, the place of jurisdiction is Berlin.
